Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern use of the hosted MailAgent service at
api.webmailagent.com and related web properties. By using the hosted API or console,
you agree to these terms. The open-source project remains available under the
MIT license for self-hosting.
Service
MailAgent provides programmatic temporary inboxes for agent signup QA, OTP and magic-link extraction,
and related MCP/API tools. Features and limits depend on your plan (GET /v1/me).
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk mail through outbound features.
- Circumvent rate limits, abuse disposable addresses for fraud, or attack third-party sites.
- Store highly sensitive personal data in temporary inboxes beyond what signup QA requires.
- Share API keys publicly or commit them to repositories.
MailAgent is for automated testing and agent workflows, not consumer disposable-email privacy products.
API keys & accounts
- You are responsible for keys created under your team and for actions taken with them.
- We may suspend keys or teams that violate acceptable use or threaten service stability.
- Enterprise dedicated Resend credentials you upload remain your responsibility under your Resend account terms.
Availability & changes
The hosted service is provided on a commercially reasonable efforts basis. We may change features, limits, or pricing (when billing launches) with notice where practical. See security for operational practices.
Disclaimer
THE HOSTED SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the hosted API.
Self-host
If you deploy MailAgent yourself, you operate the deployment and your own terms with end users. MIT license terms apply to the software.
Privacy
Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
